We celebrated Christmas a week early because Justin & Joy went to Idaho, & Keeley went with her Daddy. Go thing too because Uncle Jason got hurt and he was in the hostpital.

Meeting My Big Sister

My sister was so excited to see me, she made me a welcome home sign, had balloons everywhere. She had planned a BIG party for me. She sure does love me.

My Mom and Dad were so excited to finally be able to bring me home. They got me dressed took and my picture and waited and waited for the nurse to come in tell them it was ok to go.

My Delivery Story

Saturday November 28, 2009 my mom was having contractions all day long and went to the hospital at 6:30 PM as soon as she arrived at the hospital her labor pains stopped so they sent her home and told her to come back Sunday afternoon.

My mom & dad arrived at 3:00 PM Sunday November 29, 2009

** 3 PM she was dialated to a 4 & was having small contractions

** 4 PM they gave her an antitiotic because she had tested positive for Strep B & she could not deliver until the anitbiotic had been in her system for 4 hours.
** 5 PM They gave her the PIT to help her contractions get stronger she was dialated to a 5
** 6 PM She was dilated to a 6
** 8 PM They broke her water
** 8:30 PM She was dilated to a 7
** 10 PM She was still dilated to a 7 (she was not happy about it) She was in enough pain & knew she had a while to go so she decided to get some pain medication in her IV. It did not take her pain away it just allowed her to remain a little more calm.

**12:30 AM She was a 9 plus so they called for the Dr. He told her that she was not ready yet because her cervix ring had not thinned or fully opened. So they turned the PIT up again & was just waiting for the ring to thin. By this time my mom was in a lot of pain.

** 1 AM the doctor came in so she could start pushing. With me being posterior it made things a lot harder for my mom. Plus for some reason her cervix ring was still not were it needed to be. But the Dr. thought she should start to push anyways & just try to push me through it.
** 1:37 AM More nurses joined the doctor, and brought with them the cart to help with the delivery
** 1:40 AM Grandma Shaunna thought she heard me crying & so my Grandma Joan went down the hall to investigate, but it was not me, it was my mom screaming in pain. She covered her ears and headed back down the hall with tears in her eyes.
** 1:43 AM I Tate Samuel Mikesell was finally born. I was dark purple and needed oxygen, my face was bruised from the delivery. The doctor had to give my mom oxygen because my oxygen levels were low & that would help me out.

I was 7 LBS 15 OZ and 21 inches long. I have LOTS of dark brown hair and oriental eyes (at least for now).

Dr. Appointment

Yesterday my mom went to the Dr. she was dialated to a 3-3 1/2 and was 80% thinned. The Dr. told her I was ready to come. But little do they know, I am really comfy in here and I plan on staying a while. At least until the Dr. makes me come out on the 1st.

I am having too much fun watching my mom and dad try to get me out faster.
